James Koons is a 54 years old American artist who has been extremely successful in the United States. In 1991, he married Illona Staller, an Italian porn star who is represented in this painting . As the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, states: “His works, with their seductive surfaces and flawless execution, transform everyday objects and fantasies into high art. “
If you cannot afford it you can always settle for the “ low art” of George Braque : his painting below is estimated at a meager $50,000.
